Electronics Removal in Louisville, KY
One old television or an entire office refresh. Carried out, loaded, and routed to e-waste recycling.
The Two Electronics Jobs in Louisville
Almost every e-waste call in this metro is one of two things, and they look nothing alike.
The first is the television nobody can move. Rear-projection and tube sets from the early 2000s are still sitting in basements and back bedrooms across the East End, South Louisville, and Germantown, because they weigh close to two hundred pounds and no one has volunteered to carry one up a stair since 2009. Those are one-item jobs that take two people and the right dolly.
The second is a building. An office refresh downtown, a suite turning over in Butchertown, or a practice replacing every workstation at once produces pallets of monitors, towers, printers, and server-closet gear on a deadline. Those are volume jobs measured in truck loads.
Pro Junk runs both out of the same two trucks, which is why one call covers the television and the twelve monitors behind it.
What We Pick Up
- Televisions of every era, including tube, rear-projection, plasma, and flat panel. The heavy old ones are the ones we expect.
- Desktops, laptops, monitors, and docking stations.
- Printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines, including floor-standing office units.
- Server and IT-closet equipment, racks, switches, UPS units, and cable.
- Audio and video components, receivers, speakers, DVD and VCR decks, and game consoles.
- Batteries and power supplies, kept out of the general load.
One Thing We Do Not Do
We do not provide certified data destruction or drive shredding. We haul the hardware, and that is where our part ends. Wipe or physically remove drives from anything sensitive before we arrive, or route those specific machines to a certified data-destruction vendor and let us take everything else.
Saying that plainly is better than implying a service we do not run. If data handling is the deciding factor on an office job, sort that first and the haul-away gets simple.
Neighborhood by Neighborhood
Downtown Louisville and Butchertown
Converted lofts and office floors with service elevators. Reserve the elevator for your window and a full floor of workstations clears in one visit.
Old Louisville, Shelby Park, and Clifton
Older homes where the heavy television lives in a basement or a third-floor room. Narrow stairs and tight turns, which is why we send two.
Highlands and the Bardstown Road corridor
Walk-up apartments, street parking, and no elevator. Earlier appointments make the parking easier.
East End and South Louisville
Driveway and garage access, and where the biggest home e-waste piles tend to be after a basement gets cleared.
Where the E-Waste Goes
Electronics go to area recycling facilities equipped to handle e-waste rather than to general disposal. That is the entire reason a curbside setout is not a real option for most of this category in Jefferson County.
Pricing and Scheduling
Pricing is truck space, quoted on-site before anything is loaded, approved by you first. No hourly clock and no per-item list, so a single two-hundred-pound television and a stack of light monitors are priced on what they actually fill. Large-volume commercial jobs get a free walkthrough so the right truck capacity shows up the first time.
Same-day service is often available. We run Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 2pm, closed Sunday. Pro Junk is licensed and insured in Kentucky.
If the electronics are part of a bigger clear-out, they can leave with everything else under junk removal in Louisville, alongside appliance removal in Louisville, a basement cleanout, or a commercial cleanout. For everything we run in this city, see the Louisville service overview.
